For example, a restaurant owner wants to give coupons to people within a two mile radius. With geofencing, anyone who is using an application from a list of 9,000, such as the mega-popular app Pandora, that walks or drives within two miles will get the restaurants coupon banner pop-up on their screen. If they are hungry, and most people are at around noon which is when the restaurant would choose for when their geofencing would be in effect, they click the banner and are sent to a landing page where they simply download the coupon.
It’s really that simple. With clever use, geofencing can be an extremely effective, and even fun way to attract and interact with new customers. Furthermore, since geofencing is relatively new and not used by the vast majority of businesses or organizations, its effectiveness is amplified. Using geofencing is like being the only billboard on the freeway!
The possibilities are numerous. If a church happens to be near several bars, they can geofence a message to reach those patrons directly.. Who knows, they might even save a soul or two.
If your business or organization would like more information about geofencing, feel free to send a message from the contact page and we will be happy to help you any way we can.
